A bit about me
It has always been there – this inner sense that I am destined to do something great.
We all have this in common. We all know, in our innermost being, that there is something that we must do. Something that only we can do, something we’re naturally good at and something that will help change our world for the better. I believe that we were all created with this drive for a very specific reason. It was embedded in our hearts by our Creator as a clue to our life purpose. For me personally, I believe that my destiny involves helping people to realise what their specific calling is and to work towards it. Personal development and human peak performance is my passion.
From an early age I realised that people found it very easy to talk to me and that they seemed to feel comfortable in my company. I realised that I had a natural ability to build relationships with people and that I cared a great deal about the personal well-being of the people I came in contact with. This was my first clue on where my life was heading.
I matriculated in 2002 and, ignoring this clue to a certain extent, went on to study Computer and Electronic engineering. It wasn’t long before I realised that I had no interest in working with objects. I needed to work with people! The following year I enrolled to study Psychology and Communication. I completed my degree in 2006 and went on to complete my BA Honors degree in Psychology in 2007.
It was in 2007 that the next piece of the puzzle showed up. I was introduced to the very exciting industry of life coaching and realised that I didn’t want to become a psychologist. The idea of identifying people’s untapped potential and helping them to discover and reach that potential excited me immensely. I discovered that I wanted to work with clients and not patients.
My introduction to life coaching
In 2008 I attained my life coaching certificate with New Insights Africa, a life coach training company that holds training institute membership of COMENSA (Coaches and Mentors of South Africa).
I have been coaching ever since.
True Perspectives
I started my own private practice named “True Perspectives” and since then I have been working with people and companies from all walks of life. From business owners and entrepreneurs, to spiritual leaders, financial advisors, couples (couples coaching & pre-marital counseling), graduate students, adolescents, etc. Seeing the impact that life coaching has had on my clients and also learning from each and every one of them has greatly enriched my life and contributed to my general knowledge. This experience allows me to become even more effective as a life coach.
Obviously personal life coaching involves a lot of one-on-one coaching, but I also discovered that facilitating groups and doing public speaking was another passion of mine. I like to think of myself as a great communicator. I enjoy conveying information that can help people to be more effective in every area of their life. Challenging limiting thought patterns and behavior and presenting people with dynamic alternatives and truths is something I consider a big part of my overall calling. It is all about mind renewal.
We will never experience a truly fulfilling life if we’re not growing and developing constantly.
My life purpose … and you
I would like to finish by saying that my personal belief holds that God has created and called me to help people find that specific thing that I mentioned.
My life purpose is to coach and equip people with all the necessary weapons and armour for their personal battle. This is a battle that will always be interrelated with the much bigger battle that’s raging on the earth today. Those people that appreciate their parts in this adventure are those that truly live lives that few others can relate to. I will be faithful in coaching with absolute excellence every individual that God entrusts to me to help them towards the extraordinary life that He wants for them.
He wanted this life of abundance for you and me so much, that He gave His most precious possession for it, His Son, Jesus Christ.

I believe all the information given about Dirk Swart to be a true reflection of the person we saw for pre-marriage counseling. He really does have an inborn talent to teach, talk and counsel.
My husband and I are both believers; nevertheless we had a need for some sort of preparation before to enter our lifelong commitment.
Dirk really treated us with a huge amount of respect, he is a warm person with a lot of energy and was able to meet us at the place we were at any given stage.
He enabled us to look objectively at what the purpose of marriage is and helped us to break down any misconceptions. He employed a lot of positive thinking patterns and attitudes.
Dirk’s coaching/counseling was a very enriching experience, we daily benefit from those sessions. I would recommend this to all couples, married and unmarried alike.
Practice what you preach…
Do life coaches have a life coach themselves? I do! And I would like to share my experience of how it feels when a coach are being coached.
Looking back at the past three months I get tempted to tickle myself, just to make sure I’m not playing in some sort of a movie. I’ve always been teaching others to set goals and to be responsible for your own success. But have never had the opportunity of sitting in the opposite seat with someone else just focussing on my needs and dreams. So trust me, I was sceptical of my first session, what can this guy really teach me? Oh my word, was I surprised! This guy really dug into my soul and helped me think about myself in a whole different way! He created an environment in which I could think of crazy ideas and challenged me on things I just neglected in thinking about. And trust me, I am a dreamer and over-thinker, so this was good! He gently exposed those areas where I had these pretty mediocre excuses.
Throughout the coaching Dirk has been very sensitive, understanding, professional and a wonderful example of living a Truth-and Spirit-filled Christian life. I’ve chosen the following three areas to work at and with Dirk’s help created some super goals in: vocation, family and social, and health.
I am so thankful of what Dirk has been a part of. I really didn’t expect this much change, fulfilment, passion and freedom. I challenge especially those that, are an example to others regarding a well-balanced life, to get a coach. You think life can’t get any better, well you haven’t tasted professional life coaching!
